			<description>&#60;p&#62;That sounds awful, Judy. Someone once said to me that unless I value my writing I can't expect anyone else to, but a little money is better than no money at all. In the UK I think the nationals like the Guardian and the Times are among the top payers, but I've never managed to get them to take one of my pitches. Who else pays well?

I find it varies immensely depending on the publication. In fact, several of the magazines I write for recently cut their rates from 9.9p a word to 9.2p. Is anyone else facing cuts like this thanks to the recession?
