Garden News, the UK’s market-leading gardening weekly newspaper is looking for a News Editor.

Garden News is a long established weekly in a market that’s rapidly changing. Circulation is strong, with the opportunity to attract a new emerging audience of gardeners eager to grow their own fruit and vegetables, while retaining the traditional core audience of experienced gardeners.

This is a great chance to join the talented team at the start of a new era for the publication.

Key skills and experience required for this journalism job

Ideally you should be an innovative news journalist with lofty ambitions both for yourself and for Garden News.

Previous news writing experience, ideally in a weekly environment, is desirable, and the ability to find and write about the latest, exclusive news affecting gardeners each week is essential.

You will need to be able to produce complete news packages that include pictures. Some knowledge of, not to mention a passion for, gardening would be a distinct advantage

If you think you’re the right person for the role, please send your CV with a covering letter to
Angela Reynolds, Bauer, Media House, Lynchwood, Peterborough PE2 6EA.

Alternatively email angela.reynolds@bauermedia.co.uk

The closing date for applications is Friday April 23rd 2010.
