North American literary magazine Glimmer Train Stories is inviting writers to submit stories on the subject of family matters before April 30th 2009.
You can be as inspired by your own life as much as you like, as long as your story reads like a work of fiction, and that recognisable characteristics and names are changed to protect the identity of individuals. Your story must not exceed 12,000 words.
For a reading fee of $15 per story, you can be in with a chance of winning the first prize of $1,200, publication in Glimmer Train Stories, and 20 copies of the magazine, second prize of $500 and possible publication, or third prize of $300 and possible publication.
The results will be posted on June 30th and the winning story will be published in Issue 76.
