Headliners charity seeks talented editorial and project managers

Headliners, formerly known as Children’s Express, is an award-winning London-based charity producing news by children and young people for publication and broadcast in the mainstream and online media. They are currently seeking energetic and talented editorial and project managers. The closing date for applications is May 4th 2009.
If you are successful you will have responsibility for overall management of Headliners’ London projects ensuring you and your team deliver high quality learning experiences for young people. You will oversee editorial output including film, radio and print material. You will develop markets and media outlets for stories and submit material for broadcast and publication.
You will need to have worked as a print or broadcast journalist with experience of editing and/or commissioning. Working with young people. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to support and motivate are crucial, as are an ability to network effectively with diverse community organisations and media companies. You should also be enthusiastic about raising the voice of young people in society and working with them as colleagues.
Salary range: £27,000- £29,000
Closing date: 4 May 2009.
