Sizzling celeb-gossip mag heat seeks a News Reporter - Maternity Cover only

Do you have more front than Jordan, never fail to get into a party (whether your name is on the door or not) and have a bulging contacts book?
Heat is looking for a News Reporter who can deliver great exclusives every week. The ideal candidate will be able to write terrific copy quickly and accurately to tight deadlines and have a talent for spotting the perfect heat story, whether it’s for the web or the magazine.
Key characteristics required for this journalism job
You’ll be organised and confident and will be expected to generate competition-crunching scoops. A sense of style is as crucial as a sparkling way with words, and almost as necessary as a keen instinct for blagging.
Applicants for this journalism job should have proven experience on a national magazine or newspaper, ideally having had experience of working on a celebrity news section.
Please note that there will be times when you are expected to work outside normal working hours, but that often in these instances will be because you will be attending glitzy celeb-studded parties.
The magazine says of itself as: “heat magazine dares ask celebrities the questions you really want answering. We love celebrities but we don’t put them on a pedestal. We like it just as much when celebs get things wrong as when they get them right. heat is the barometer of cool, the silliest celeb-spotter, the friend to the stars. And it’s the only place that can shock you with the juiciest showbiz stories and make you snort out your sandwich with laughter at the same time.”
If that sounds like a publication you’d love to work with, please email a CV and three examples of your work by email to our heat’s Director of News Hannah Fernando at hannah.fernando@heatmag.com by Friday February 12th 2010.
