The Bureau of Investigative Journalism is recruiting Investigative Journalists. The Bureau of Investigative Journalism is a new venture with charitable backing that aims to carry out investigative journalism of the highest ethical standards. It will also search for sustainable business models for investigative journalism’s long-term future.
The successful applicants will have significant experience in sustained and thorough investigations, with a history of writing compelling stories in the public interest. This is old-style journalism with a hint of Sherlock Holmes thrown in for good measure.
If you have a background in print, online or broadcast journalism you are encouraged to apply, providing you understand how to conduct long term investigations, have a grasp of media law and are able to work both independently and heading up a small team.
Skills such as an ability to understand financial data, how to carry out FOIs and languages are all assets.
