The publishers of the award-winning Golf Punk magazine and recently launched Football Punk are looking to expand their portfolio with a new bi-monthly upscale lifestyle title targeting both men and women, and need a dynamic editor to help them do it in style.

To be in with a chance you must have a strong background in lifestyle publishing, preferably with a glossy upscale, broadsheet or weekend supplement.

You will need commissioning and editing experience, be culturally savvy with contacts in the arts, sports, entertainment and, ideally, business worlds, be able to access a comprehensive network of suppliers and to parachute them in as required, identify and empathise with a title that has the very highest creative and commercial aspirations, and be an inspiring brand ambassador for the magazine at networking and industry events.

As this will be a magazine where advertising and editorial staff will work almost as one team, you will also be expected to identify and create ways to monetise editorial.

As editor you will help assemble a pool of talent that can write with authority on fashion, grooming, sport, motoring, celebrity, business/finance, gadgets, property and be empathetic to the lifestyle agenda of a massively exclusive audience, in addition to generating provocative and inspired as well as inspiring feature content. JF Media’s aim is for this title to become a benchmark in premium publishing.

In addition, you will be expected to input into a companion website.

The location and salary for this role are flexible. Inspiration, commitment and vision are not. This is a one-off opportunity to help birth a new title that will enjoy unique and privileged distribution.
