Taking place from March 5th-17th 2009, the London Word Festival will include a brand new, interactive, word-based project - The Fib.
In the run up to next year’s festival get involved and celebrate a unique and fun form of writing. Based on the Fibonacci sequence, The Fib is a six line, 20 syllable poem.
This example was written by Simon Barraclough

rises from the depths,
horsehair snaps; you can guess the rest.
The festival organisers are asking you to submit your Fibs, in all their tiny glory. They can be on any topic, just as long as they follow the form 1/1/2/3/5/8.
The best submissions will go forward to the grand final, which will take place during the festival in March.
For more info, to view examples by Edward Larrikin, Tim Wells and others, and to submit your own Fib for free, visit www.londonwordfestival.com.
