If you’re an experienced journalist with a natural curiosity, have an instinct for seeking out interesting stories, and are good with people, you may be the perfect candidate for a maternity cover role with Press Association.
Press Association is looking for a talented Real Life Feature Writer to provide maternity cover within their Exclusive Features team in London. The position is expected to last until March 2010.
The friendly, hardworking team supplies features to national women’s magazines and national newspapers.
If you’re successful you’ll be responsible for finding and chasing exclusive real-life stories, persuading subjects to talk solely to Press Association, pitching to national publications, then interviewing and writing features to individual publications’ style.
This is a role for an experienced journalist who can prove they are able to generate their own real life stories in a competitive market. You must be driven to secure stories and also be a great writer.
Previous experience as a feature writer or news reporter is an essential requirement of the role. You may well be working as a real life feature writer for another agency at present.
To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter, preferably by email, to: Noreen Barr, Exclusive Features Editor, Press Association, 292 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London SW1V 1AE or noreen.barr@pressassociation.com.
The closing date is Wednesday June 24th 2009.
