ShortList men’s magazine has a vacancy for a deputy production editor

Work for ShortList
ShortList, Britain’s biggest weekly men’s magazine, is looking for a new deputy production editor. If you are successful, you will be sub-editing pages while maintaining the magazine’s style and tone as well as ensuring copy’s legally sound, all while dealing with all the pressures of producing a busy weekly magazine.
You must know your way around InDesign, and a familiarity with the VIP production process would be a bonus. A background in either weekly magazines or newspapers is a must.
You will have a knowledge of, and interest in, all things ShortList - from who’s playing War Machine in Iron Man 2 to how many balls Paul Collingwood lasted in the final day at Cardiff. You will also be required to support the production editor and step in for him in his absence.
To be in with a chance of landing this plum journalism role, please visit http://www.shortlist.com/sport/article/tim-lovejoy-column-13-08-09/1 and write a ShortList-style caption for the picture of columnist Tim Lovejoy (him in the black and yellow polka-dotted t-shirt).
Send your caption, along with your CV, to howard.calvert@shortlist.com by 6pm on August 21st 2009.
