IDG, the world’s largest technology media company is looking for a reporter to join the team, writing for two of its flagship UK online titles, ComputerworldUK and Techworld.

If you’re as passionate about computing and technology as you are about writing you may already know that Computerworld has been established across the globe for over 40 years and is widely considered the most successful IT brand in the publishing world. The online publication’s sister title Techworld was launched in 2002 and has rapidly become one of the leading sites in the UK technology sector.

Along with CIO, these two successful brands ensure IDG’s B2B portfolio serves the full spectrum of the professional IT community and we are looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual to contribute to the further development of the sites.

The successful candidate will ideally have relevant journalism experience or a graduate or post graduate journalism qualification, online skills and a keen interest in technology and its application to business.

Focusing on technology news, you’ll be responsible for generating news leads, writing news stories and analysis and blogging. You will also support the brands by engaging in social media activities.

If you’re fascinated by technology, are ready to step up your career in online journalism, and can describe yourself as a fast worker with an eye for detail and a sharp nose for a story, send your CV with a covering letter and links to examples of your work to mike_simons@idg.co.uk. Please put ‘reporter vacancy’ in the subject line.
