After a packed out February event, Telltales, Cornwall’s popular reading night is back this month and getting ready to take the Falmouth Townhouse travelling with its new theme: Odyssey.

Conceived as an inspiration point for writers, this month’s theme is attracting a record number of submissions making up an entertaining programme that’s set to cover everything from travel journals and stories of convict ships and exotic murders.

Despite filling up fast, there’s still time to submit, so if you have anything that you are interested in reading out at the next event, log on to www.wordslikepictures.com/telltales and upload your work.

The Telltales team of readers will then go through all the submissions and draw together a programme sure to induce a spot of wanderlust , before getting in touch with the successfully programmed writers the week before to ensure they have plenty of time to practice.

If you’ve got something that you’d like to read which doesn’t tie in with the Odyssey theme, don’t worry, submit it anyway and  if it feels right for the night it will be considered for the programme.

And if you’re not a writer or a reader but would like to come down and hear what Cornwall’s writing scene has to say for itself, please do - all ears are welcome. Telltales Volume XVI: Odyssey at the Falmouth Townhouse kicks off on 30 March from 7pm with readings starting at 7.30pm.
