On Monday afternoon you can read my interview with May Yao, an associate publisher and director at Intellect Books, an independent academic publishing house with offices in the UK and North America. She talks about the submissions that excite her, and how you can make your ideas stand out from the crowd.
I’ve been dipping in and out of the gorgeous new coffee table book Unwrecked England by Candida Lycett Green, and have fallen in love with some of the locations she describes. It’s a real treat of a book - perfect to escape into on gloomy afternoons. You can find out more about what I think of it on Tuesday. In the afternoon you can read the interview that resulted from a lengthy and very pleasant conversation with Candida, and find out what drives her urge to explore the English countryside.
